Institute for the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences

A cooperation agreement signed between the Centre for Medieval Studies and the Institute for the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw regulates:

  • exchanging data, tools and applications,
  • defining standards of data collection,
  • creating digital tools to collect, manage and share data,
  • formulating joint research scenarios which involve the use of resources and tools of the Institute for the History of Science and the Catholic University of Lublin,
  • designing joint research projects, conferences and publications,
  • joint workshops and teaching projects.

As a part of this cooperation, the codicological research team of the Centre for Medieval Studies supervised by Prof. Jerzy Kaliszuk and Prof. Wojciech Mrozowicz will share the research on Żagań and Dominican Manuscripts on the Manuscripta.pl website. Digital tools, conferences and publications are envisaged too.

On 23 May 2023, Prof. Jacek Soszyński, the Director of the Institute for the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw visited the Catholic University of Lublin at the invitation of Prof. Paweł Kras. During his stay, Prof. Soszyński met the Vice-Rector for Science and Human Resources, Prof. Beata Zarzycka to discuss the cooperation with the Centre for Medieval Studies.
